Carlos Moreno, founder of Apex Plumbing, first entered the construction industry around 2012 through foundation repair and waterproofing. Early on, he learned the value of hard work through demanding hands-on labor, including hand digging for push piers, working in crawlspaces installing SmartJacks, and installing encapsulation systems.
Through years in waterproofing and foundation repair, Carlos gained experience with drainage and sump pump systems, including WaterGuard systems designed to redirect groundwater into sump pits. This background helped him develop troubleshooting skills and understanding of residential water management systems.
In 2018, Carlos transitioned into plumbing by joining a plumbing apprenticeship, where he continued building hands-on experience in residential service plumbing. Since then, he has focused on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential and light commercial plumbing systems throughout Northern Virginia.

His experience includes servicing and replacing water heaters, pressure reducing valves (PRVs), main water valves, emergency shut off valves, lavatory faucets, kitchen faucets, sewage ejector pumps, sump pumps, drain piping, and potable water systems including copper, CPVC, PEX, and polybutylene replacement.
Carlos also specializes in residential drain cleaning and general service plumbing, with a focus on honest communication, clean workmanship, and reliable service for homeowners across Northern Virginia.
